Bye Betty Suarez

I started to watch Ugly Betty because I really enjoyed the original Spanish telenovela. Although the end of that telenovela kinda sucked, since in the end, Betty ends up with this jackass boss of her’s. But over time, I like Ugly Betty more than it’s Spanish counterparts. It was funny, enjoyable and sometimes, emotional.

Things I like about Ugly Betty:

• They gradually changes her, not send her into a “Beauty Boot Camp” like in the original telenovela.
• Betty also gradually grows in maturity. Although she still falls for obvious pranks and shit. Well, that is kinda the charm of the show.
• The relationship between Daniel Meade and Betty Suarez. Its a really nice, heart-warming friendship. Its like there are more than friends, but not yet a lover. Emphasis on the word “yet”.
• Amanda & Mark. Who dint love these two? WOOOT!
• I also enjoys watching how Daniel grows in both maturity and behavior.

The followings are the things I think the series could do without:

• Yes, we know it by now Christopher Gorham has really nice chest. You don’t need to flaunt it in every episode when he was a regular.
• Gio: this guy is basically a douche.
• Sometimes the nephew is too gay. Well, he is gay. But he makes rainbow unicorn lookss like nothing as opposed to his gayness.
• Hilda’s annoying rants. Gosh, sometimes her voice makes me wanna stab someone.

Overall, the series was nice, and the finale was a proper end to the series I enjoyed for 4 years. It’s looks like they keep it hanging a bit in the end, possibly for a finale movie. Lets just cross our fingers and hope it will be done ASAP.
