A Letter to Samsung

Hello.

I bought the new Omnia HD (i8910) last week and after just 4 days of using it, the phone’s 8GB memory broke down.

So on Sunday, I brought it back to the shop to send it for a warranty repair, and the shop sent it to Lowyat’s Samsung Service Center on Monday.

It then took them 3 f***ing days to get back to me. Oops, did I tell them to get back to me within 3 days? NO. I had to call the shop to get the number of the service center.

And after I pushed to get back MY phone on this day, then they start to say they’ll try to get it by today and fix it. They then called and said they replaced the board.

When I come to pick the phone, the memory problem was fixed, but then the phone didn’t vibrate or give the vibrating feedback when touched, even with the option turned on the highest settings. I then sent it back and waited for it to be fixed.

And when I checked it again, it hadn’t got the latest IG2 firmware which the phone had when I originally bought it. Instead, they’d sent me it with outdated firmware and they claimed they didn’t have the latest firmware yet. They wanted me to wait another day.

I then demanded a new phone, but they said the procedure to get me a new phone would take two weeks.

Samsung really managed to screw up big this time. I only managed to use the phone for 4 days before it broke down. Now you want me to wait for another 2 weeks? Hell no. It’s a freaking expensive phone. And I paid for a FRESH, NEW PHONE. Not something that would need poked and opened again and again after just 4 days.

This is my request. I demand a new phone or my cash back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I can’t wait 2 weeks. YOU screwed this one up,and YOU should fix it as soon as possible.

I’m also saving/sending/publishing this copy of report to my blog, my facebook, Lowyat.Net i8910 thread and a few more.
